Here are all the songs from Monsters: The Lyle & Eric Menendez Story

“Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Eric Menendez” premiered Friday and quickly became the latest hit for Netflix and Ryan Murphy.

The limited series marks the next installment in Murphy’s “Monster” franchise with the streamer, following the hugely successful “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” starring Evan Peters. Ian Brennan has once again teamed up with the mega-producer to bring to the screen the story of the Menendez brothers, from their troubled childhood to the infamous night their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, were killed.

The limited series attempts to uncover who the real monsters are in a high-profile murder trial. The Menendez brothers captivated America because their televised trial was one of the first of its kind. These two boys killed their parents on August 20, 1989 when they were just 18 and 21 years old. Their lawyers called it self-defense, but both were found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after two trials.

Helping to propel the story is an era-specific soundtrack that features the likes of Vanilla Ice and, in a sarcastic performance by the Murphys, sibling duo Millie Vanilli.
