Former ‘America’s Got Talent’ contestant found dead


A 17-year-old standout entertainer who dazzled on the latest season of America’s Got Talent was found dead Friday in what authorities have confirmed was a suicide.

Emily Gold’s body was found under a bridge on the 210 Freeway in Rancho Cucamonga, California, the San Bernardino Coroner’s Office confirmed to the magazine. People.

“California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga area officers responded to a pedestrian in the lanes,” California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Rodrigo Jimenez said.

The officer then mentioned that “the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.”

“When officers arrived, they located a 17-year-old female who was struck by at least one other vehicle in the eastbound 210 carpool lane,” Jimenez continued.

Steven and Brandy Gold, the young woman’s parents, announced the sad news on Sunday through their Instagram account. “It is with immeasurable sadness that we must tell everyone that we lost our beautiful Emily on September 13th,” they say in the emotional post where they shared a photo of their daughter in her cheerleading uniform.

“Our hearts have a hole the size of the universe right now. The outpouring of love and support we are receiving shows us how many lives that angel touched and lifted, and it is what will help us get through the most difficult time of our lives. Thank you all so much for your love and support,” they conclude.
