Beirut, VIVA – The Lebanese Ministry of Health recorded that 14 people were killed and 66 injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes on Friday, September 20, 2024. So far, 66 injured, including 9 people, have been hospitalized.

Lebanon’s official national news agency Antara reported that an attack took place on an apartment in one of the residential buildings in the Jamous area on the southern outskirts of the city.

Ambulances and civil protection teams arrived at the scene and took some of the injured to hospital.
A senior Israeli official told Israel’s Army Radio that the target of the attack was Ibrahim Aqil, the top military commander of the Lebanese group Hezbollah.

Meanwhile, the Zionist army claimed that they had killed Aqil along with several senior commanders of the Radvan army, which is the elite forces of this group.
Najib Mikati, Prime Minister of Lebanon, said that this attack demonstrated once again that Israel does not respect any human, legal or moral point of view.
