“We are not at 100% yet, but I am improving. It is three races in a row and we will try to stay in the strong group,” said Fabio.

In the previous race at Misano, Fabio managed to finish eighth despite having to race in flag-to-flag conditions.

Meanwhile, Marco Bezecchi, who finished fifth in the previous race at Misano, is more confident ahead of his home race.

Marco, who currently sits 11th in the standings with 93 points, said: “It’s always special to race twice in one round and Misano is my home race. I’m really looking forward to meeting the fans again and I hope to get better results.”

PT Pertamina Lubricants Chairman Verri Prayogi is also optimistic about meeting the doctor.

“The compatibility between our two drivers was demonstrated again two weeks ago at Misano. Although Fabio is still battling an injury, he finished eighth. Marco was also in the top five. We are confident that the two drivers will show their best performances again,” said Werry, quoted in the official VIVA press release, Saturday 21 September 2024.
