Loli: People who wear hijab should be supported!


Jakarta, VIVA – Wadel Bajide’s girlfriend Loli has been angered by some netizens who mocked her for wearing hijab. She claimed that the accusations are hurtful and baseless, especially the suggestion that she wears the hijab only to cover up her alleged pregnancy.

“You all are making fun of even my hijab. Do you really think wearing a hijab is for fun?” Lolly said in the video she uploaded.

Loli stressed in her statement that the decision to wear hijab is a sincere decision and not a random act.

“It is true that I wear the hijab carelessly. Wearing the hijab is not always intentional. I wear it wholeheartedly,” she continued.

She also stressed that the hijab she wears is not to cover up her pregnancy or the trauma of violence, as some quarters claim.

“I don’t wear the hijab to cover anything, not because it’s about pregnancy or abortion like you all say. Or the violence I receive,” Loli emphasized.

Loli further explained that wearing the hijab is obligatory for a Muslim woman and believes she should be supported, not ridiculed.

“Crazy!!! I am an Islamic caveman, wearing hijab is already mandatory. People who wear hijab should be supported. In fact, it is an insult,” he commented.

This statement was Loli’s direct response to speculations circulating on social media, where several users speculated negatively about the reasons behind her decision to wear the hijab.
