Peradi SAI collaborates with Unsri to carry out PKPA in Palembang, Patra Zen: Lawyers become a respected profession

Palembang, VIVA – The Central Governing Council of the Srivijaya University Faculty of Law Graduates Association (DPP IKA FH Unsri) in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Srivijaya University (FH Unsri) and the National Governing Council of the Indonesian Bar Association (DPN Peradi SAI) ), Special Education for the Legal Profession (PKPA) on Saturday, was held on September 21, 2024. This activity is hybrid, face-to-face and online.

In his speech, Unsri Law School representative Vegitya Ramadhani Putri as Vice Dean thanked Peradi BDA for working with Unsri Law School to organize PKPA with excellent standards and quality.

“We hope that this cooperation will continue to produce honest representatives,” he said on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Putu Samavati, as head of the legal laboratory and chairman of the executive committee of DPP IKA FH Unsri, said that the PKPA participants came not only from the South Sumatra region, but also from North Sumatra and Jakarta.

Putu explained that several professors, senior lawyers and leaders of legal institutions confirmed their willingness to be trained in PKP activities.

“PKPA lecturers include Professors Johny Emirzon, Professors Febrian, Mada Apriandi, Juniver Girsang, Ira A Edimurthy, Pininta Amburawu, Marni Emmy Mustafa, Denny Kailimang, Swandi Halim, Syaiful Maarif and Constitutional Committee Ridwan Pututu.”

Erlan Tosin, representing the Peradi EFS Palembang Branch Governing Council (DPC), said that his party is very enthusiastic to support the PKPA activities that will be carried out until October 11, 2024.

Meanwhile, DPN Peradi SAI Secretary General, who is also DPP IKA FH Unsri General President, Patra M Zen, thanked Unsri Law School for providing resources and facilities for the PKPA to be held in Palembang.

“I also thank all the participants who registered. And God willing, this PKPA will be held regularly, including the holding of the bar exam and the oath at the Palembang High Court,” Patra explained.

Of course, Patra said, the legal profession must continue to focus on academic standards and other aspects.

Patra, a representative of DPN Peradi SAI, officially opening the PKPA in Palembang, said: “The legal profession can remain a noble profession by starting with educational standardization and strict adherence to professional ethics.”
