This program confirms Indonesia’s position on the map of the world’s creative industries. With abundant talent and a rich culture, Indonesia has great potential to be a talent development hub in Southeast Asia. The opening of AOP in Indonesia is expected to have a significant impact on the development of young talents, as well as giving them the opportunity to shine on the international stage.

As part of this collaboration, Telkomsel, a leading telecommunications company in Indonesia, supports AOP’s auditing process through digital solutions. Potential contestants from different regions of Indonesia can participate in the digital casting facilitated by AOP’s audition program.

“Telkomsel is proud to be part of Pop Academy’s journey to discover and develop creative talents from across Indonesia,” said Derrick Heng, Marketing Director at Telkomsel.

Telkomsel will use digital technology to facilitate talent discovery from Sabang to Merauke. The company will rely on the MyTelkomsel Super App platform, IndiHome TV services and MAXStream Studios to support the AOP initiative. Telkomsel, with its extensive network, is optimistic that it can bring Indonesia’s name to the world stage through this program.

BNI, as the national bank also designated to support Go Global efforts by the Ministry of BUMN, also contributed to the launch of AOP. This bank, through the BNI brand, offers smart financial solutions designed to help younger generations plan and manage their finances.

“With the innovative features of 3 financial dimensions: Transaction, Insight and Growth, we hope that BNI Miracle together with AOP can be a solution for young Indonesian talents to realize their dreams on the world stage,” said Korina Leila Karnalis, CEO of Retail Banking at BNI.

In the future, BNI will also combine the magic of the BNI platform with the AOP audition program, allowing users to get exclusive content and support their favorite talents. This collaboration demonstrates BNI’s important role in opening up opportunities for Indonesia’s creative industry to gain global recognition.

Pop Academy is not only a talent search event, but also an educational platform for Indonesian young talents. The program launches a YouTube channel with inspiring content such as reality shows and masterclasses from world-renowned coaches. Participants can upload their performances through the audition program, compete and create an internationally accessible profile.
