TMMIN: Hybrid car technology synchronizes with batteries

PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia Vice President Bob Azam stressed the importance of a fair and harmonious policy to support the development of this industry.

Speaking about hybrid vehicles, Bob Azam said the government has implemented several incentives to support electrification technology. However, this currently only applies to battery electric vehicles.

Bob reminded us that it is important for the government to move quickly to complete discussions on promoting hybrid cars. According to him, policies must be proactive and anticipate changes, not wait for them to appear.

“If you come late, the ecosystem in Indonesia will not develop. If it develops in another country, if you have already invested in a country, if you want to get involved in Indonesia, it will be difficult.”

TMMIN hopes that through the synergy between hybrid and battery technology, Indonesia can achieve and build an ecosystem that supports the development of environmentally friendly technology alongside global efforts to combat climate change.
