JD Vance is “serious” and “very smart,” Laura Ingraham told the Republican vice presidential nominee Tuesday night on “The Ingraham Angle,” and she’s also “really funny” and “really playful” rather than “quiet and shaky.” “That seems to be working for a lot of women voters,” she said.
Ingraham’s comments came in response to a favorable poll from a ABC News/Ipsos Poll It turns out that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is viewed favorably 42% to 31%, compared to Vance’s 32% to 44%.
Vance’s strategy for approaching such a poll “is to just go out and meet as many people as possible,” he said. He and presidential candidate Donald Trump “don’t do things on paper,” Vance added.
“We don’t just talk in front of the teleprompter. We really like to go out and give unsolicited comments, some press conferences and also just go out and talk to people.”
Vance also insisted that he had little interest in the election. “What I have brought is the wisdom of the American people, and that if we go out, we make our case, we don’t hide behind the television show, but we go out and meet the people. The American people, them and I. I will love Donald Trump, of that I have no doubt,” he stressed.

And as long as my wife likes it, the beard will stay, that’s all.”
The same ABC News/Ipsos poll found Harris leading Trump 50% to 46% among all adults and registered voters (about the same as before the Democratic National Convention) and 52% to 46% among likely voters. Harris leads among women by 13 points, while Trump leads among men by 5 points.
