The famous youtuber MrBeast faces serious accusations about the working conditions of the contestants in his reality show from Amazon Prime Video called “Beast Games”.
The content creator, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, must face a lawsuit filed this Monday by five contestants before a Los Angeles court who alleged multiple episodes of abuse and neglect that occurred during the recording of the YouTuber’s contest.
The program was introduced in March as a reality show that has “more than 1,000 contestants, a prize of US$ 5 million and many other world records,” said the YouTuber at the time.
The contestants were subjected to “irrational, unsafe and illegal working conditions,” according to the lawsuit filed, which also claims that “several” contestants were hospitalized, the publication said. CNN.
In the legal document, the plaintiffs also claim that they were fed “sporadically and sparsely” and that they were not given “adequate access to hygiene products or medical care.”
According to the media outlet, sexual harassment was also reported, however, many specific examples of the allegations were removed from the lawsuit.
