Penelope Cruz is moved to tears by Javier Bardem’s dedication when receiving the Donostia Award

Renowned actor Javier Bardem paid tribute to his wife Penelope Cruz in a touching moment while being honored at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain.

This Friday, Bardem received the prestigious ‘Donostia Lifetime Achievement Award’ and from the stage praised Cruz, whom he married in 2010. “To a woman whom I love and with whom I have shared a life,” the 55-year-old actor began by saying.

“I want to thank you and express my deep gratitude for the human being that you are and how you can be responsible for life, the life of your children, the life of your family, your mother, your friends, the lives of others, the many people you don’t know for whom you suffer and care, and certainly the life of this gentleman who is here, who loves you and thanks you very much for it,” she concluded.

From her seat, Cruz seemed very emotional upon hearing these words and responded by sending kisses to the actor while tears could be seen in her eyes.

Bardem was originally scheduled to receive the award in 2023, but the Hollywood actors’ strike prevented him from attending.
