Pain – A police officer on duty in the Aceh Police with the initials IR (44) was shot dead 10 times on Thursday, July 11, 2024 in the courtyard of Al Munawara Mosque, Janto City, Aceh Besar Regency. This was because the policeman was found to be corrupt.

He was flogged with his date with the initials Ai (31). Both were found to have committed jihad and violated Article 23 (1) of Aceh Law No. 6 of 2014 on Criminal Law.
Aceh Besar (Kejar) District Prosecutor’s Intelligence Chief Mavlijar confirmed that one of the people who was beaten is a police officer, who is on the run due to the incident.

The verdict was based on the execution order of the Khanto Sharia Court on the execution of mass flogging, i.e. in the courtyard of Al-Munawara Mosque, Aceh Besar.
“IR and AI were legally and convincingly found guilty of Khalwat in violation of Article 23 (1) of Aceh’s Criminal Law Act No. 6 of 2014, and each received 10 lashes.”
Previously, IR and Ai were arrested when officers conducted a secret raid in Aceh Besar province in March 2024. Both were arrested in Lamting village of Kuta Baro district.
The couple got engaged on Friday, June 7, 2024. However, both claimed to be ill, so the acting Aceh district prosecutor Besar postponed the execution of both. Finally, the new execution took place on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
