VIVA Military Field Monitor Captain Philip Mark Mehrtens arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base at 22:30 WIB using an Indonesian Air Force Boeing aircraft.
The arrival of Captain Philip Mark Mehrtens was immediately welcomed by a number of government officials including Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs TNI Marshal Ret. Hadi Tjahyanto, TNI Commander Gen. Agus Subianto, National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Pahala Mansuri, New Zealand Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia and family members.
