Hezbollah confirmed the death of its military commander in an Israeli airstrike


Beirut, LIVE – Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah confirmed on Friday afternoon, September 20, 2024, that its top commander, Ibrahim Aqil, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the southern outskirts of Beirut.

Referring to Hezbollah’s support for Palestine in the face of Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah mourned the death of Aqil, whom it called one of its “true leaders who was martyred on the road to Jerusalem.”

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 14 people were killed and 66 others injured in this airstrike, while 9 people are in serious condition.

An Israeli airstrike has killed a member of the Hezbollah group in southern Lebanon.

The official press of Lebanon, National Information Agencyreported that an attack took place on a residential house in the Jomus neighborhood.

The Israeli military confirmed that it killed Aqil and a senior commander in Radvan’s elite forces.

The attack was Israel’s third in the southern suburbs since a wave of violence began nearly a year ago.

Previous shocking attacks include the assassination of Hamas deputy political bureau chief Saleh al-Aruri on January 2, and the killing of Fuad Shukr, a prominent Hezbollah leader, on July 30.
