Mohsin, chief of Sinjo East police, said the victim was taken to hospital after being bitten by a three-metre-long python. The victim reportedly suffered a laceration to his leg that required 41 stitches.

“It is true that the victim was treated at the hospital and received 41 stitches,” Muhsin said in a confirmation dated Friday, September 20, 2024.

Mohsin said the incident began when the 51-year-old victim tried to catch a dangerous animal near her neighbor’s house in Makchini Hamlet, Panaykang Village, eastern Xinjiang, Xinjiang Regency, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. While trying to catch it, the victim caught the snake, which was lying in the middle of the road.

Mohsin said the victim’s condition improved after medical treatment. As a result of the snake bite, the victim received 41 stitches. But the victim was allowed to return home.

“His condition has improved and the victim has returned home,” Mohsin said.
