Latin GRAMMY 2024: How, where and when to watch the nominations


The 25th anniversary of the Latin Grammy Awards will kick off with the announcement of nominations on Tuesday, September 17. We’ll bring you up to the minute as they’re announced live.

The announcement begins at 8am EST/5am PST on the platforms and 9am to 9:30am EST (6:00am to 6:30pm PST) live streaming via LatinGRAMMY.com

The announcement was attended by the CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, Manuel Abboud, and celebrities who have won and nominated in previous editions, such as Luis Fonsi, Gilberto Gil, Juanes, Gente de Zona, Draco Rosa and Natalia Lafourcade, who will be there. will be responsible for announcing some of the categories directly, while others on Academy platforms such as Facebook (Latin GRAMMY), X (Latin GRAMMY), which Instagram (Latin GRAMMY). and on this site.

Candidates for this publication are selected in 58 categories, whose works were published during the acceptance period from June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024. All songs considered for nominations must be new songs and contain a minimum percentage of lyrics (60%) in Spanish, Portuguese or any regional indigenous dialect.

The 25th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will take place on November 14, 2024, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, with the three-hour televised ceremony beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET/PT (Central).

Prior to the broadcast, a premiere ceremony will be held where most of the awards will be presented and the performances will also be screened, which can be viewed through the Academy’s digital platforms.

Colombian singer and musician Carlos Vives will be honored with the “Person of the Year” award at a private ceremony on November 13, where his industry peers will pay tribute to him by performing their own versions of Colombian Santa Marta’s greatest hits.

Figures such as Albita, Lolita Flores, Alejandro Lerner, Los Ángeles Azules, Draco Rosa and Lulu Santos will receive the Latin Recording Academy’s Award for Musical Excellence as part of Latin Grammy Week and this year’s Council Leadership Award to Ángel ‘Cucco’ Peña and Chucho Rincón. This distinction is for people who have made significant contributions to Latin music during their careers, but not necessarily as performers.
