National police chief appoints 4 new regional police chiefs, Inspector General Andy Rian Jajadi transferred to South Sumatra


Jakarta, VIVA – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit replaced and appointed four regional police chiefs and deputy regional police chiefs.

The rotation and transfer of four regional police chiefs and deputy regional police chiefs are mentioned in telegram number ST/2098/IX/KEP./2024, ST/2099/IX/KEP./2024, ST/2100/IX/KEP./2024 and ST/2101/IX/KEP./2024 dated 20 September 2024.

Based on these 4 ST, 309 employees from Pati and Pamen were transferred.

The position of South Sulawesi (Sumsel) Police Chief is being held by Irjen General Andy Rian R Jajadi, who was previously the South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Police Chief. The position of South Sulawesi Police Chief will then be taken over by Irjen General Yudhiawan Wibisono, who was previously the North Sulut Police Chief.

National Police Chief General Listo Sigit Prabowo has appointed several senior National Police officials.

To promote the four positions of regional deputy police chief, Kombes Pasma Royce is appointed as Deputy Chief of East Java Regional Police; Commissioner Wibowo as Deputy Chief of West Java Regional Police; Brigadier General Pol I Komang Sandi Arsana is Deputy Chief of Bali State Police and Brigadier General Tony Harsono is Deputy Chief of Bangka Belitung (Babel) Police.

In a telegram letter, the National Police Chief also confirmed Inspector General Wahu Hadiningrat as Deputy National Police Chief for General Planning and Budget (Astamarena) and Inspector General Verdianto Iskandar Bitikaka as Senior Assistant to the National Police Chief for Operations (Astamaops).

The position of Astamarena and Astamaops is determined based on Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 90 of 2024 on the Organizational Structure and Working Procedures of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia.

This Presidential Decree is an amendment to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 52 of 2010, which renamed the post of Deputy Chief of Police for General Planning and Budget (Asrena) in the new Presidential Decree to “Deputy Chief of Police for General Planning and Budget (Astamarena)”.

Even with the Deputy Chief of Police for Operations (Asops) – in the new presidential order he becomes “Principal Deputy Chief of Police for Operations (Astamaops)”.

The presidential decree states that Astamops and Astamarena will remain at the three-star rank. Previously, this position was occupied by a two-star rank.

The head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police Public Relations Department, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, said promotion and rotation are normal things in the organization. The aim is to improve the performance and service and protection of the National Police to the public.

“Mutations and rotations are natural processes in organizations to improve performance and move jobs,” he said.
