Bandung, VIVA – PT Persib Bandung commissioner Umuh Muchtar has asked his team to forget about the poor result against Port FC in the first leg of the AFC Champions League 2.

Maung Bandung defeated Port FC with a final score of 0-1 in a match played at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency on Thursday, September 15, 2024.
Umuh wants Persib footballers to pick themselves up and focus on the next match. Moreover, Persib will face their fiercest rival, Persia Jakarta, on Monday, September 23, 2024.

Umuh told reporters: “We should have stood up, in the second half it was because we were busy attacking, because we believed they would win, in the end it was the opposite, I apologise to Bobotoh.”

Umuh said his team played well against Port FC. They managed to create chances several times. However, a mistake allowed Persib to score a successful goal for Port FC.
“The players played well, they played hard, we almost won, that’s football, isn’t it? We lost before, we told the players to stay calm and nobody blames themselves,” he said.
Following this defeat, the 76-year-old apologized to Bobotoh. Umuh also praised Bobotoh’s attitude in response to Porsib’s defeat to Port FC.
“I apologize to everyone, Bobotoh is also an adult, yes, the players were crying, they thought they would not make it, everyone was crying out of regret, in the future the shortcomings will be corrected and the coach will maximize them,” said Umu.
