Jakarta, VIVA – Jakarta gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidate duo Pramono Anung-Rano Karno are scheduled to meet Indonesia’s sixth president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

“We will be invited tomorrow, Mr. SBY. If Mr. SBY is here this morning, Mr. SBY wants to receive, he wants to receive Mas Pram with me,” said Rano Karno in South Jakarta, Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
Rana said that SBY knows him and Pramono Anun well. But he did not explain the location of the meeting with SBY.

He only explained that this meeting has nothing to do with winning the regional elections. He shared his experience of interacting with SBY when he was still the governor of Banten.

“When I was the governor of Banten, I even did something called Soto Pakitan. Wow, she didn’t forget. Sorry, Mom was there then, Mrs. Ani was still there. So, actually, I don’t know, he feels close, but he knows me,” Rana said.
“And thank God, he expressed his gratitude and Pramu invited me. You are also proud as a young man to invite our former president.”
In addition to meeting SBY, Pramono-Rano will also meet former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, alias Ahok, next Thursday. He said he will first meet Ahok and then SBY.
He said Ahok’s meeting was planned. “After the meeting with Ahok (SBY meeting). Because the meeting with Ahok is already planned. Our plan (to meet with Ahok) is in the area called Semangi,” he said.
