Reasons for the increase in toll prices in Jakarta City in 2024


Jakarta, VIVA – The revision of toll rates on the Jakarta Internal Toll Highway will take effect on 22 September 2024 at 00:00 and will apply to the two main toll highways, namely the Cawang-Tomang-Pluit section operated by PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk., and the Kawang -Tanjung Priok-East Ankol-Jembatan Tiga/Pluit section operated by PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada (CMNP) Tbk.

This tariff increase was made in order to ensure the quality of services and sustainable investment. This increase is in accordance with the decree of the Minister of Public Works and Housing (PWP) No. 2130/KPTS/M/2024 and is based on assessments that are carried out every two years following the inflation rate.

Jasamarga Regional Toll Road Division Head Vidiyatmiko Nursejati explained that this tariff adjustment is also important to maintain the return on investment of the Toll Road Trade Organisation (BUJT).

“This adjustment of the service fee is necessary to create a favorable investment climate in the toll road sector, where continued investment will maintain the quality of service to road users,” he said, citing the official statement of VIVA Otomotif, Friday, September 20, 2024.

In the construction industry, routine maintenance such as waste fill layer (SFO) and street lighting maintenance is performed.

With this tariff adjustment, the government hopes to maintain the quality of toll road service and support community mobility and economic activity in Jakarta.
