On the other hand, the Head of Public Relations for Peace Operations of Task Force Kartens 2024, KBP, Dr. Bayu Suseno, explained that the pilot Philip was successfully freed and located by a joint team located at Yuguru Village, Maibarok District, Nduga Regency and immediately flew away to Mako Brimob Battalion B/Timika.

“Yes, that’s right, today we managed to bring the pilot Philip back safely. “Our pilot flew from Nduga directly to Timika,” Bayu explained.
Pilot Philip was then immediately transferred to a special room to alleviate the medical effects and stabilize Pilot Philip’s mental state. After the mitigation activities are completed, a press conference is planned to be held at the Kartens 2024 Peace Operations Command at Battalion B/Timika Mako Brimob.
“After the de-escalation, it will continue with a press conference. Please, media colleagues come to our post at Battalion B/Timika Mako Brimob to directly listen to the content of the press conference from the officials,” Bayu said.
