Garut – The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) has endorsed Helmi Budiman as the chairman of the Garut People’s Democratic Party and Yudi Nugraha Lasminingrat as the chairman of the DPC PPP in the 2024 Garut regional election to be held on 27 November 2024. PKS and PPP have decided to form a coalition for the 2024 Garut regional election.

Garut SEP DPC Chairman Ramlan Gumelar confirmed his support for the Helmi and Yudi couple. According to him, the two of them spoke and met directly with SEP General Chairman Kaesang Pangarep. So far, there are only two people who have received the mandate from the SEP DPP to run in the Garut regional elections: Helmi and Yudi.
“A friendly meeting was held with the PDP of the PSI, then we met with the Pilkada bureau and also with the PSI General Chairman Kaesang,” he said on Thursday, July 11, 2024.

He admitted that the PSI does not have a legislative seat in Garut Regency in Garut DPRD, so the PSI is only a supporter and not a supporter. However, to obtain this support it still needs to follow the procedures defined by the PSI.

“In fact, so far only Helmi Budiman and Yudi Nugraha are registered with the PSI,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bappilu PSI West Java Chairman Widi Nugroho said Helmi and Yudi met PSI’s criteria to be supported for the 2024 Garut Regency Pilkada, meanwhile, PSI hopes that both will be regent and deputy. The couple’s regent will become. Garut will compete in the 2024 Garut Regency Pilkada.
“We have supported these two figures and they have been given a letter of assignment to pair them, but of course we will take that decision to our respective parties,” he said.
Meanwhile, he said, Helmi Budiman is a former deputy regent who served two terms from 2013 to 2023. Meanwhile, Yudi Nugraha Lasminningrat is the chairman of the PDP and a young businessman, and also works as the chairman of Garut KADIN, which is well known as Garut Juragan.
Meanwhile, several names have emerged of businessmen who are struggling to find a support party and looking for a partner for the 2024 Garut regional elections, including Nadiman, Dudung Sudiana, Yudi R Darajat, Deden Galih and Putri Karlina, who is a businessman and daughter of the Metro Jaya regional police chief.
Also, Abdusi Syakur Amin as Chancellor of Uniga, Dadan Hidayatullah, Chairman of Garut DPC, U Saepuddin, former official of Garut Regency Government and Ade Najmullah as National Commissioner of Police with the rank of AKBP.
