Jakarta, VIVA – The Indonesian National Army (TNI) held a public party to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the TNI at Silang Monasi Square in Jakarta, which began on Friday evening, September 20, 2024. The People’s Party will be held for 2 days and will end on Sunday evening, September 22, 2024.

During the People’s Festival, TNI provides a series of activities that are used by the general public, from Wayang Golek performances, Matra exhibition, field kitchen, defense equipment exhibition, blood donation, health service, field hospital (Rumkitlap), health services, free services. Food distribution, bread seed distribution, community classic car and motorcycle show, and fun stage will be held in Monas, Jakarta starting from Saturday evening, September 21, 2024.
In addition to Monas Cross Field, similar activities were carried out simultaneously in all major operational commands (Kotama) such as Kodam, Lanal and Air Base throughout Indonesia.

In addition to the defence equipment display, the TNI will also distribute 25,000 basic food packages and free medical tests at the Monas location in Jakarta.
The distribution of basic supplies will also be carried out on 5 October 2024 in various regional military commands (Kodam) across Indonesia, including the Indonesian Navy and Air Force. In total, there are 79,000 basic food packages, which are distributed according to the current seniority of the TNI, which is 79 years.
“We will provide 79,000 essential items, which corresponds to the 79th anniversary of the TNI,” he said.
Based on observations in the area, it seemed that the community showed enthusiasm for participating in the folk club. TNI Major General Novi even admitted that he was very impressed by the enthusiasm of the people who arrived at the Monas site in the morning.
“They are very excited and happy with this kind of atmosphere, we as TNI are happy and we are really part of making the community and people happy in the future,” he said.
