Jakarta – PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) and Axiata Enterprise Sdn Bhd (AE) have signed a sale and purchase agreement for the purchase and sale of shares of Axiata Global Services Pte Ltd (AGS).

Through the information opening of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Corporate Secretary XL Axiata’s Ranty Astari Rachman explained that the signing took place on July 10, 2024 with a transaction value of 1 USD.
“The company purchased 100,000 shares or 100% of the shares of AGS at a transaction value of $1,” Ranti said in a statement on Friday, July 12, 2024.

He added that EXCL believes that this transaction will have a positive impact on the company, as this transaction allows the company to fully monetize its assets through direct transactions with global customers.

Furthermore, it is clear that the company can become an international telecommunications services provider that will bring global digital opportunities to the company’s capabilities.
“In addition to taking advantage of the opportunities of the company and groups of companies to gain international markets,” said Ranti.

He explained that following the transaction, Singapore-based Axiata Global Services Pte Ltd (AGS) will become a subsidiary of PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL).
