Young entrepreneurs from Banten support Irene, here’s why


Pandeglang, VIVA – The Banten Young Entrepreneurs Front has officially announced its support for the Banten gubernatorial and vice-governor duo, Irene Rachmi Diani-Ade Sumardi, in the 2024 Banten regional elections.

When she became mayor of South Tangerang, Irene was seen as committed and capable of developing the creative economy.

This was stated in a statement of support made in Pandeglang Regency on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

“The Banten Young Entrepreneurs Front, as the leader of the younger generation, confidently declares that Mrs. Irene Rachmi Diani and Mr. Ade Sumardi will support the Banten regional elections. Both of them are in favour of the development and advancement of the creative economy,” said the Chairman of the Banten Young Entrepreneurs Front, Akbar Mujahideen.

Akbar said this support is not just a formality, but a real manifestation of Irene-Ade’s commitment to the growth of young entrepreneurs who create new job opportunities and compete through the Empowered Young Banten programme and compete at national and international levels.

Young entrepreneurs, he said, are ready to be a driving force for change through collaboration, innovation and offering solutions to all the challenges facing the people of Banten.

“Together with Ms. Irene Rachmi Diani and Mr. Ade Sumardi, we are ready to open up more business opportunities, create new jobs and ensure that prosperity is evenly distributed in Banten. We encourage Banten to become the hub of Indonesia’s creative economy,” he said.

Irene thanked this support and highlighted the important role of young entrepreneurs in boosting the regional economy. She also expressed her views on constructive economic development through the “Empowered Youth” program.

The programme is intended to provide assistance to creative economic actors to continue working in the Banten economy. In the future, he said, conditions will be created for creative economy activists of various categories.

Through the Empowered Young Banten programme, young entrepreneurs will have access to capital, training and skills development.

“We are committed to creating more space for young entrepreneurs to grow and develop. With strong cooperation between the government and entrepreneurs, we are confident that Banten will become a competitive hub of the creative economy at national and international levels,” he added.
